In case anyone's been wondering, I was in a care accident last February. arount the 15th or 16th. I flew through the passenger side window and took the seatbelt with me. They had to cut off my clothes because I didn't exactly make it all the way through the window, I was still kinda in it. Half way if you will. I wasn't breathing on my own and they stuck a tube in my head to drain out the blood, which is why they had to shave a part of my hair, sadly. It's grown about an inch since then though. And they had to take me by helicopter to get here. I've lost all feeling in my left side, though oddly enough I can still use it. I suffer from what they say is brain damage. So I have problems remembering things. Apparently I was telling everyone I lived in Maryland still. Took me long enough to remember I live in Arizona. x.x Oh, and I just found out a lot too. 1)I'm single again, 2)my dog's dead and has been for some time now, 3) I'm a senior in high school, 3) I'm 18, 4)I have my drivers liscence, and 5) people came to see me but I can't remember. All that and I need another surgery due to the swelling in my epiglotus (sp?) it's past the vocal chords though. I was allowed to eat but as of thursday last week I'm not allowed to for 2 weeks! Yay! More tube feeding!! >< And I just found out that it's quite possible that I'll be sent home with my feeding tube and my trachea (what they call the tube in my throat that lets me breathe) still in. They've got me in therapies everyday, except Sundays. Oh yeah, I can't talk on my own, I have to either wear a)the passy-muir valve or b)the "cap" and/or c) "finger occlude" my trachea. Or basically, put my finger over the tube to talk" I find out tommorrow if I can eat again or not. *has fingers crossed* So we'll see what happens.
